    Locking Couplings

    Di-Corp offers a full line of Locking Couplings to complement our line of Core Retrieval Tools. Extensive field testing and development of these products have concluded that product performance has exceeded customer expectations. Drillers Edge Locking Couplings offer:

    • Precision machined threads for all common thread forms, including the new S-Maxx design.
    • Sizes available include B, N, H and P.
    • Outer tubes are available in 5-foot (1.5 m) and 10-foot (3 m) lengths. Full hole outer tubes are compatible for use with extended core barrels.
    • Locking couplings are available with or without the tang.

    What are locking couplings used for?

    Locking couplings lock the head assembly of a core barrel to the drill rod, serving as an adapter between the core barrel outer tub and the rod. In addition, locking couplings also provide stabilization of the upper part of the core barrel, which minimizes deviation while drilling, acting as a backup to the reaming shell.
