Calcium Nitrate (EnviroFloc) is a highly soluble source of calcium ions for use as a coagulant in clear water drilling and clarification operations using settling tanks and or centrifuges. The product’s residual chemistry in the form of Nitrate ions makes waste streams excellent fertilizer to more actively restore vegetation on worksites after drilling is complete. In clear water applications, a concentration of 400ppm is desirable to start a coagulation and flocculation reaction.
Calcium Nitrate can also be used as a calcium source in invert oil emulsions and as an accelerator for oil well cement.
