Calgary, AB, Canada, January 23, 2025 – Di-Corp is excited to announce the recipients of the 2025 Di-Corp Don Peteherych Awards for 2025 with the University of Calgary (U of C). These awards were created to honour the enduring legacy of Don Peteherych, a notable former partner of what is now known as Di-Corp. Recognized as a remarkable force in the oilfield service industry of western Canada, Don’s commitment and contributions have had a lasting impact on the sector.
Valued at up to $3,000 per recipient, The Don Peteherych bursary is awarded to up to three continuing students in the fields of Chemical and Petroleum Engineering or Oil & Gas Engineering. The 2025 recipients of the bursary are – Dinesh Mamnani, Khang Ngo and Mardia Mumtahina. All three recipients will receive $2,566 and are all Chemical Engineering students at the University of Calgary’s Schulich School of Engineering.

“I would like to extend my deepest gratitude for your generous scholarship, which has had a tremendous impact on my academic journey. Your support has not only relieved much of the financial pressure that comes with pursuing a degree, but it has also allowed me to focus more on my studies and professional development,” writes recipient Mardia Mumtahina. “Your investment in my future has not only provided financial support but has also given me the confidence and motivation to continue working hard toward my goals. Thank you for your unwavering support and for helping me build a stronger foundation for my future.”
Di-Corp established the Don Peteherych bursaries following Don’s passing in 2009. We are pleased to continue honouring his memory by supporting students dedicated to advancing the Canadian energy industry, which Don cherished. Through this initiative, we aim to foster the growth of the next generation of leaders who will carry forward his legacy and contribute to the sector.
